With inadequate care, paroxysmal erythema transforms into permanent erythema, which is associated with the appearance of permanent facial redness.

How is Leonardo able to alleviate erythema?

Leonardo is a device that works with A.L.T. technology, which means that it emits Accumulative Light Pulses. For erythema removal we use a 530 filter, so the pulses affect the hemoglobin in the vessels that densely line up to form erythema. The device emits high energy, which is absorbed by hemoglobin. This leads to coagulation which is in turn removed by the body - and that is how erythema disappears.

How many treatments are needed?

It's hard to determine how many treatments are needed, as this is an individual issue and depends on the severity of the erythematous lesions, genetic conditions and daily skin care.

What is certain, however, is that Leonardo light cannot identify and destroy all the capillaries that form erythema during a single treatment. Therefore, we always recommend a minimum of two treatments. However, the effect is truly spectacular even after the first one. In addition Leonardo also stimulates collagen production, which leads to a photo-rejuvenating effect.

What does the treatment look like?

We begin each treatment with an interview and exclusion of any contraindications. Then we clean the treatment area and protect the eyes with special glasses. We apply a conductive gel and then apply the head. During the procedure, a series of flashes are emitted, and a characteristic sound is heard.

Is the procedure painful?
